Global Resources

Within New York City, Columbia University exists within a borderless zone of global consciousness that encompasses scholarship, research and business abroad. Accordingly, there are many resources and an infrastructure within the university that serve students, faculty and administrators who seek to engage in international activities. This section outlines three major resources available to faculty, administrators and students. 

 

Global Support

The Global Support website provides a central point of access for information, guidance and resources to help facilitate your international activities, travel or program administration. 

Are you working internationally on a Columbia project? Traveling abroad on University business?  Interested in launching a program outside the U.S.? The site is a clearinghouse of assistance for those activites and more.  

Getting Started

The International Studetns and Scholars Office (ISSO) provides an array of services to more than 10,000 students, interns, scholars and accompanying family members from over 150 countries, including assistance with visas and travel, maintaining your status, taxes, and employment.

Columbia's Global Centers promote and facilitate the collaborative and impactful engagement of the University’s faculty, students, and alumni with the world to enhance understanding, address global challenges, and advance knowledge and its exchange.
